Krabi is found in the well-explored south of Thailand, but it still holds many secrets, often hidden behind the worn-out tourist activities and copy-cat pictures posted on repeat. Because we know that time is too precious to waste on mundane holiday trips, we found these hidden gems and created a three-day plan placing you in the middle of this hidden world. Get ready for an unforgettable, Thai-experience!
Day 1: Cultural Immersion
After arriving at Phuket or Krabi Airport, you will figuratively dive right into the soul of Krabi, by visiting a local fishing village. This fishing village, accessible by a bamboo bridge, is surrounded by the local trees-on-legs, better known as mangrove trees. These natural wonders combined with the unique stilted fishing houses provide a picturesque destination, quite different from fishing villages in other countries.
This experience will combine in-depth knowledge about the local’s unique way of life, and a mouth-watering seafood lunch will crown the morning's activities.
Bellies filled with delicious food, you will be heading to an eco-friendly community that lives in tune with nature. During your afternoon, your guide will introduce you to the many artistic skills this community is well known for, including local batik crafting and painting.
As the sun sets you will be left to explore the area at leisure, taking in the glowing sunset beauty Krabi is so well known for.
Your dinner will be prepared at the homestay you will be welcomed for the evening. This increasingly popular sleep experience allows you the rare opportunity of truly immersing yourself in another culture, with a local family, creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience to end your day.
Day 2: Visiting Must See Location: The Separated Sea
Before breakfast, your guide will meet you at the homestay, and guide you to the beach, where a unique morning-mud-mask treatment awaits you.
This natural mud, native to this secret beach, is rich in natural nutrients, ready to feed your skin with mineral goodness. This treatment will relax your mind, and soul and nourish your skin, increasing your appetite for the delicious breakfast that will follow this morning ritual.
Once you have enjoyed your breakfast and coffee, you will start your journey to the famous Separated Sea which put Krabi on the map.
A day of snorkeling and swimming within crystal waters will commence. Be ready to feast your eyes on the beauty of the Andaman Sea. You will experience the freedom of exploring these gorgeous waters, becoming familiar with the abundance of sea life and coral found within its depths.
Depending on the weather and course of the moon, your guide might take you to see a very unique phenomenon found only in this area. This phenomenon happens when low-tide conditions are so perfect, that it draws back enough to reveal a gorgeous white sandbank, connecting two of the islands. This experience is unique, and though we cannot promise this sighting, we will try our best to make it part of your trip.
After a day of sun, sand, and sea, you will be transferred to Phra Nang Inn, Krabi, and given time to prepare your salty, sun-kissed body for dinner.
A home-style Thai dinner will be served at a lovely local restaurant. Here you will enjoy an array of delicious Thai dishes, all prepared with fresh, local ingredients, according to traditional recipes.
A day spent in the blue waters of Krabi will surely exhaust even the most energetic travelers, and after dinner, you will retire to your selected accommodation for some rest .
Day 3: Farewell Wishes:
Before leaving Krabi, it is important to spend a few hours exploring by yourself. There is so much to see and do, so make sure to find some coconut ice cream, or visit the local flea markets.
Spending a few last moments at any of the sandy beaches can also promise a memorable goodbye.
Once departure time has arrived, you will be safely transferred to the airport, in time to catch your flight.
